Why Ellen Cousins is running for Minnetonka Mayor

Our taxes continue to rise! Year over year increases that are higher 

than inflation and now they’re proposing almost 8% for 2026! We 

need to put the brakes on budget increases and bring transparency 

into the process. 

Carjacking after a grocery run…Active shooter terrorizing a 

neighborhood…Drag racing on local Highways…e-bikes buzzing the trails and streets. 

This is not the Minnetonka we’ve grown to love. It’s time to 

crackdown on crime and fully support our law enforcement efforts. 

Our streets and other infrastructure need to be prioritized over 

feel-good projects rubber-stamped by our council. Residents 

should be paying for city services, not being double taxed for 

services that are paid through county, state and other taxes.
